WOMEN'S EDUCATION

Dr. Ameena Paul was one of the first to awaken the spirit of education among women in Telangana region. She inspired women to travel from distant places like Warangal and Nizamabad and use the hostel facilities to do higher studies. It all started in a humble way with 3 girls attending classes in the retiring room of Dr. Paul, the then Principal of Nampalli Girls High School.

The role of Sir Ross Masood, Director of Public Instructions can not to be discounted; together they visited the homes to exhort parents to send girls for higher studies. Soon colleges dedicated for Women's Education were opened in Nizamabad and Warangal.
